Deck Building FAQs
How long does it take to build a deck?
Most decks take 1–3 weeks of active build time, depending on size, materials, and whether we're adding features like a roof, screen room, or built-in seating. We give you a realistic timeline at your free estimate.
What's the difference between Trex composite, cedar, and treated wood?
Trex is the lowest-maintenance — no staining, no sealing, holds its color for decades. Cedar is naturally beautiful and resists rot but does need periodic finishing. Pressure-treated pine is the budget-friendly option and still lasts a long time when built right. We'll walk you through the trade-offs at the consultation.
Why does Trex Pro certification matter?
It means our crew is trained on the exact installation methods Trex requires for their full warranty to apply. You get the build done right and you get the full manufacturer-backed coverage on top of ours.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We pull the building permits, schedule inspections, and make sure the structure meets code in your city or county. You don't have to chase paperwork.
Can you design a covered deck, screen room, or pergola?
Absolutely — covered decks, screened-in porches, and pergolas are some of our favorite projects. We can show you 3D renderings of how the structure will look on your home before we start.
Will you tear out my existing deck?
Yes. We handle the demo, haul away the old materials, and leave your yard clean.
